The inside of an angus burger from McDonalds (although you can’t actually see any of the angus beef in this pic, just the other stuff). Whenever we go to McDonalds we usually get the angus burger large meal and a three piece chicken mcdippers.

Macro shot of the fries from McDonalds. No time to make breakfast before heading to the Medibank International Sydney Tennis Tournament so we just had a quick snack at McDonalds across the road from our place.

A millipede that got inside our house in Figtree. I always found it weird that they were called millipedes when they didn’t have anywhere near a thousand legs (although apparently one type of millipede has around 750). I eventually used one of the junk mail material to guide it out of the house although it seemed pretty adamant about staying in.

One of the plants from my parents’ garden in Figtree. I was left all alone in the house and I haven’t taken any pics so far this year so it was nice to go home (I live in Kingsford but grew up in Figtree) and take some pictures of the plant life.

This is the first in my 365 photos in 2010 project. In the past when I’ve been busy, I’ve ended up putting aside photography for weeks and sometimes even months so I’m hoping this self project keeps me on track.

I will be cheating slightly though. When people usually do this sort of thing they actually take one photo each day. Since my life is pretty boring during the work week (wake up, go to work, go home, sleep, rinse and repeat) and not much happens until the weekend, I will just be aiming to average a photo a day. But I will try to make it close. Hopefully that keeps things interesting as opposed to just a million photos of my office.

My mother got some flowers for her birthday and I thought I’d take some photos. My first attempt at macro flower shots, I think it turned out okay. I used my trusty EF 50mm f1.8 as well as a cheap macro closeup lens thingie attached to the filter ring. It came with a cheapo wide angle lens I got from eBay.

I’ve been busy for the past few weeks and I haven’t been able to get out and take some pics so its just random stuff indoors. I didn’t think any of these deserved to be an individual deviation so I just put them together. These are all taken using my 300D and some extension tubes. I wish I had an actual macro lens.

1. A necklace my wife made.
2. A strawberry.
3. The light from a laser mouse.

4. One of those droplet thingies… I need more practise.
5. One of those arts and craft X-acto knife blade thingies.
6. My brother’s Homer Simpson figurine, the blue comes from my LED torch.

7. A Philippine peso. A lot stronger these days compared to the Aussie dollar which sucks because I really wanna go back.
8. Some earrings my wife made. She loves making them and she’s getting really good at it.
9. A 512mb laptop ram stick.
